About Purnell Steen: Denver's Five Points neighborhood was once known as the "Harlem of the West" and the sounds of this legendary neighborhood live on today through pianist Purnell Steen and his Five Points Ambassadors. Now in his early seventies, Steen is a consummate performer with devoted fans. Steen is also part of a musical dynasty, with relatives including vocalist Dianne Reeves, pianist George Duke, saxophonist Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson, and bassist Charlie Burrell. !
