With a Roman centurion as escort, Paul has reached Rome along with Luke and others.  His hearing before the Emperor is delayed indefinitely as no people from Jerusalem come to press their case.  Paul receives visitors as he wishes and writes his last two letters, to Philemon regarding a runaway slave and to the Philippians. 
 
Paul’s highly influential and inspirational career continues in Rome, as we hear in the final verses of Acts, “For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him.  He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!
