Good morning,

I'm reaching out to all of our Central Region (Lakewood, Golden, and Edgewater) volunteers and partner churches to ask for your help. Our volunteer participation in this area has been very low and the dedicated volunteers we do have are experiencing burn out from serving multiple nights in a row.

I am asking if you would please let your church congregations, businesses, clubs and groups know of our need. I have listed below some examples of how people can serve and attached our volunteer brochure.

Laundry - washing a bag of blankets or two is a big help! This can be done at anytime we have the need

Food - prepare a main dish, sides or deserts to feed 12. Not a cook? You can donate bread, milk, cereal, or fresh fruit - food needs to be dropped off at the church shelter location between 5pm-6pm on shelter nights

Time and talent - we need volunteers to help at shelter with serving the food, heling to check in guest personal possessions, distributing guest bedding bags, and conversating/engaging with our guests. This is needed from 5:30pm to about 8pm on shelter nights.

Anyone interested can sign up via our website at https://swshelternetwork.com/volunteer/ and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me via email or call me at 720-362-7067

Thank you for prayerfully considering helping us to engage the community in helping us to save lives on these cold winter nights.

Peace and blessings,

Christy Smith
