Office Conversion

We are fixing-up one of the classroom spaces to be a useable office for those small partners who are doing work that is in alignment with our mission statement. Peter will be working on this project Friday and Saturday mornings until completed. The more hands on this project, the sooner we can open up an opportunity for someone to make the impossible, possible, without the burden of huge office space costs. Let me know when you can help out, or come with a good book and be loving company. Contact Peter or the church office.

Parish Meeting

At our last meeting, we created a calendar for BIG events and outreach activities for 2024. On April 7, after Sunday Service, please join us for a discussion about small gatherings and in-reach for 2024. What can we do to embrace each other, build stronger relationships and keep us smiling through this year?

In Celebration of Creation

Gardens, Grounds, and Earth Day: Plans and Possibilities

Tuesday, March 19, 12:00-1:00 pm, via Zoom. Join the creation care conversation! Facilitated by the Creation Care Team for the Episcopal Church in Colorado, this session will be a time for open discussion and sharing and collaboration around timely topics such as:

  • Xeriscaping:The process of landscaping, or gardening, that reduces or eliminates the need for irrigation.

  • Labyrinths: Starting in the late 20th century, there has been a resurgence of interest in labyrinths and a revival in labyrinth building. Approximately 6,000 labyrinths have been registered with the Worldwide Labyrinth Locator! A number of churches in our diocese have added a labyrinth as an outdoor sacred space.

  • Community Gardening: A piece of land gardened or cultivated by a group of people individually or collectively.

  • Earth Day Offerings, April 22: Established in 1970 in the wake of Rachel Carson’s book Silent Spring, Earth Day is dedicated to bringing the environment to the forefront. There are many opportunities for congregational engagement!

Each person will have the opportunity to share, ask questions, and solicit feedback, or listen and gain ideas. Questions? Please contact Missioner Tracy Methe or Creation Care Team member Carl Peterson.

Earth Day Morning Prayer (via Zoom)

Looking for a way to celebrate Earth Day? Join us April 22, 7:30 am, to begin the day in prayer. This is a time to express our gratitude for the gift of creation and also to recommit ourselves to caring for the Earth and the interconnected web of life it sustains. All are welcome! The service is expected to last 20 minutes. Questions? Reach out to Missioner Tracy Methe at Tracy@EpiscopalColorado.org.

A Better Future!

We are collaborating with Congregation Beth Evergreen in an effort to build a better future for everyone.

Working together with Project C.U.R.E. who send donated medical equipment and supplies to areas in need all around the world, we can make a difference.  Each of their shipments cost $30,000 with a total value of more than $300,000 in supplies.  The cost of one of these is normally prohibitive for many small communities like ours, but together with Congregation Beth Evergreen and other partners, we can have a measurable impact.

Your donations will be specifically used for a shipment going to Soroka Medical Center, which is located 25 miles from the northern Gaza border.  The supplies and equipment will be used for emergency treatments and to expand Soroka's rehabilitation unit.

If this touches your heart, please consider giving a gift for a better future either online at https://www.bethevergreen.org/israel.html or by mail:
